Mischievous Space is a site-based projection work. I’m using a short throw projector to transform the irregular 2D images into an illusion of 3D objects as well as creating some non-existing spaces on the sculptural interior space. And I’m calling it “Mischievous Space,” as the view you see on this specific site from a particular angle is entirely different and unexpected from the original one. Your sense of the order of the place can be full of humor. It’s playful. Choose this kind of projection and illusion art as my response to reality, I think my work is quite like the reality itself — it’s how you and the environment perceive it, even as simple as the geometries in my piece of work.

I left it blacker the audience to stretch their imagination — maybe it’s an infinite space or some unrevealed reality, or it’s just a wall.

I’m using the language of color and geometry and working through ways to create the possibility of concealing things or misleading the audience.
And I want you to have fun in my “mischievous space,” playing with the flat and 3Dimensional, and interact with perspectives and the geometric shapes when you step inside the small space together with the vibrant colors.
